(Sorry I'm late. I got caught up in things, and blogging has never been one of my strong points. I'm trying.)
Lex sat on the bed, staring blankly at
the box in front of him. He ran his hands over the papers in it,
thinking about Jennifer, and fighting with everything he had to not
cry again. They had been high school sweethearts, passing notes in
class. Lex gave a wan smile, remembering how Jennifer had been the
type to keep everything. He picked up one of her letters and started
reading. They had only been married for two months, and only moved
into their first house a month after that. One week later, she was
hit by a drunk driver.
