Day 5 - Transformation
Dear gods, when had she ever been that
person? Katie looked through her book of memories that she'd kept
since she was young. She saw a naive, enthusiastic Christian. The
kind who actually protested at Pride parades. She was guilty of many
hateful diatribes against people who were different than her. But, it
had all started to change with a look at just the wrong time. Or
right, depending on how you look at it. As she laid her head in her
girlfriend's lap, still flipping through the book, she realized that,
yes, she had. And thankfully, she'd learned better.
Hi…umm, I like your drabbles…
ReplyDeleteBut what I actually wanted to say was that I saw your post on the ‘postcards’ blog from December 22 of last year, in which you described what depressed you. It might be a late comment, but I wanted to recommend you the book ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle in case you don´t know it already. He described the “niggling voice” in your head pretty well as an entity called the pain body that one can observe and reduce. The concept really makes sense, I’ve been feeling like this too and it helped me a lot…I posted this here so that it would be easier to see.
