Day 9 - I've been pretty good about sticking to my new budget. Admittedly, it's a little loose, and it's a work in progress, but I've been sticking to it. I haven't even seriously considered tapping into my savings, and it's already almost payday again. I'm pretty stoked.
Day 10 - Music and me are pretty cool. While I do like to have control over what I listen to, I have a pretty good selection, so I can just generally throw on whatever and I'll be good. The only real exception to that was the last time I worked for Wal Mart. That job frustrated the living hell out of me, and I found that my normal, happy music wasn't cheering me up. In fact, it was only irritating me worse. A song would start, I'd get more irritated and go "NO!" and change the song, lather, rinse, repeat ad nauseum. It eventually occurred to me that, instead of trying to soothe the aggravation away, what if I burned it out? Fed it until it had nothing left to give and I could be chill again. So, I got a copy of the Dethklok album (from the Cartoon Network show Metalocalypse), and found that did the trick perfectly. The pseudo-death metal had an angry enough sound that my mood immediately started improving.
Day 11 - Both of these are with friends at Dragon Con. Really, some of my best memories are from there. If you haven't been, you should find your local con, or save up and go to Atlanta. You really should. It is *SO* worth it.

Day 12 - I found tumblr because a few of my friends use it and I wanted to see what it was all about. Honestly, while I do follow some really hot picspam accounts, I'm not entirely sure it's worth the extra effort. I got tired of it pretty fast. I may close my account there soon.
