Brief update and a funny story

So, Monday morning, before I went to sleep, I noticed, once again, that my computer had been telling me there was an update. So I ran the normal updates. Then, I noticed that there was a new version of the OS. I'd been running Fedora 14 (a version of the Linux OS, for those of you who don't know), and it told me that 15 was ready. So, I went ahead and did it.

Aaaaaand it died. I have no bloody clue why. And, because I haven't had the chance to learn Linux or programming in any form like I want to, I have no idea how to fix it. I've been borrowing my Lady's netbook as a temporary stopgap measure. I've also joined and posted to a local Linux group and gotten a few offers to help. I'll keep you guys updated on how things are going.

Now, for the funny story that happened last night.

Lady Ru'etha *LOVES* natural disaster weather type shows. Tornado chasers, volcanic eruptions and the like really interest her. I don't get it, but I'm not complaining. I usually have some form of distraction. Anyway, there was an earthquake show on, and at one point, they mentioned something about a "doomsday clock." Now, I misheard this as a doomsday plot. Jukebox's response was that "at least it's not a doomsday cock," which my Lady replied that it could be marketed on Fetlife.

My brain sometimes does take things and run with them. In this case, it only took a few steps and came up with a brief marketing ad. "Tired of Ron Jeremy's penis? Is horse dong just getting blase? Then try the DOOMSDAY COCK! Guaranteed to satisfy!" And then I started cracking up. Lady R gave me a look and "suggested" that I blog about this, so here you guys go.
